Salutations!
Hi there! We’re thrilled that you’ve visited our site! Masa and I, over an お猪口 (ochoko…it’s the little cup) of fine Japanese sake, decided that the world could benefit from having the combined outlooks of a Japanese national and an American expat living in Japan to strip away some of the fantasy and bring a realistic, yet still fun, look at living in Tokyo, eating the delicious food, traveling its many islands, and enjoying all the fascinating experiences one can have. We also thought it would be fun and a great excuse to go hang out and drink.

Meet Masa and Dale
Masakazu Eguchi (Masa)
Hey, Konnichiwa, everybody! I’m Masa and I’m from Japan. I am a certified personal trainer, yoga addict, and animal lover. I have spent about 3 years living overseas in Australia and Cambodia and am currently back in Japan. I wanted to show you all my culture from the unique views of Japanese and American viewpoints. Please excuse my not so perfect English!
J. Dale Walker
Johnathan Dale Walker is a recently reformed musician that has made a living as a professional pianist, guitarist, and songwriter – despite the unfortunate decision to get a degree in operatic performance in the late 90’s. He has a passion for cuisine and his favorite deadly sin is gluttony. He moved to Japan in 2017 with his wife and two lovely daughters. He speaks horrible but steadily improving Japanese, and possesses a unique curiosity and reckless abandon that facilitates his willingness to eat all sorts of weird things for clicks on the internet.
